Talent
If You're Ready to Shine…
Whatever your talent, art or medium—you work with wood, leather, metal, clay, glass, paper, you draw, paint, sculpt, sew, photograph, film, practice calligraphy, design clothes, embroider, knit, weave, engrave, sculpt, create mosaics, dance, write plays, screenplays, poetry, tales and legends, compose film music, make origami, macramé, scrapbooking, bookbinding, lutherie, make rice paper, graffiti, lithography, revolutionize cooking, pastry, or do something so unique, so unprecedented, that there are no words yet to describe your art—we'd like to get to know you.
We don't need for a resume, we want to see your achievements in photos and videos, we want to know if you've got the vocation, if you're ready to dedicate yourself wholeheartedly to perfecting your talent, ready to give the best of who you are to make a living from it; we want to know if you feel that something greater is calling you, we want to know if you want to change the world with us, if you're ready to shine, to create wonders, if you've got what it takes to be a guardian of the best of human creativity.
Come As You Are
Here at Ktdral, we don’t care about where you come from, the color of your skin, the gender you identify with, whom you desire in the privacy of your bed, whom you pray to (if you pray at all), your birth date, whether you learned by yourself, from the school of life, or in a prestigious institution… To work with us, you must have a talent that sets you apart, and be dedicated to developing it to greatness.
Your life is your life
Don’t let it be clubbed into dank submission.
Be on the watch.
There are ways out.
There is a light somewhere.
It may not be much light but
It beats the darkness.
Be on the watch.
The gods will offer you chances.
Know them.
Take them.
You can’t beat death but
You can beat death in life, sometimes.
And the more often you learn to do it,
The more light there will be.
Your life is your life.
Know it while you have it.
You are marvelous
The gods wait to delight
In you.
Note for our french-speaking visitors
Our choice to present "The Laughing Heart" in its original English-only form is made out of the utmost respect for the work and its author, as well as for our French-speaking audience; believing that Bukowski's poetry carries nuances and rhythms that would be lost in translation. We invite you to discover this poem in the spirit in which it was written, and hope that it will touch you in a way that transcends the boundaries of language.
